RCYBA Mission

RCYBA is volunteer based non-profit sports association established to provide a fun, fair and safe basketball environment. RCYBA’s focus is to advance youth basketball in the City of Rochester through the teaching of basketball fundamentals, foster respect for others, build self-confidence, develop leadership, and promote teamwork in Rochester Student athletes.

RCYBA Covid-19 status

RCYBA is required to use the current guidelines from  Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS) and the  Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) for the  content of  our COVID Plan.  MYAS has a Covid Task Force that is  working with the MDH and the Governor's Covid Task Force to develop a set of requirements that will allow  youth basketball to continue playing this season.  RCYBA is part of MYAS's Covid Task Force. and  is in  constant communications with MYAS regarding new requirements.  The plan will allow  us to return in a safe and healthy way,  but in order for this to happen we need ALL parents, coaches and players to follow our approved COVID Plan.  Please make sure you have read and understand the RCYBA COVID Plan.

Please keep in mind that ultimately the facility owner's (RPS, RCTC, NVC)  COVID-19 plan will override any plan that RCYBA develops.

Key Changes with the 2/26/21 RCYBA Covid Plan

Current update reflects updated quarantine guidelines from MDH.

All of the above changes came from the Minnesota of Department of Health.  These changes are currently being evaluated through the MYAS/MYBA Covid task force and constantly changing and we notify you of any additional changes.
