• The  RCYBA Program is opened to children in grades 1 through 8 who are enrolled in a Rochester Public School District #535 school or live within the #535 School District boundaries.

Program Details

RCYBA offers multiple programs that are designed for on age and skill level.

  • First and second grade camps for girls and boys - Introduction program for early grade.
  • House for girls (3rd – 6th grade) and boys (3rd – 8th) This is our league program for anyone in 3rd to 8th grade that does not want to travel out of town or is beginning to play basketball. Please note: At this time we do not offer 7th and 8th grade girls league due to a shortage of players. At this age 8th  graders that want to play basketball are usually pulled into the high school programs or want to play travel basketball.
  • Travel for girls and boys fourth – eighth grade - This is a more challenging program for players looking to take their skills to the next level. This program will have higher fees and will involve playing outside of Rochester. Which will lead to additional family time commitment and expenses (gas, food, hotels (sometimes)

  • Opens in early August and closes for travel in early September and early October for league. Exact dates will be posted on the RCYBA home page.

  • Registration fees are used to offset the costs of; facility rental charges (games, practices, clinics), officials, table workers, equipment and tournament fees for traveling teams. There are also administrative costs incurred to operate the program such as; insurance, tax preparation/accounting and clerical tasks.
  • Our volunteer board (a mix of volunteers from JM, Mayo and Century), coaches, and many other volunteers help keep our costs to a minimum and we strive to keep fees from increasing year over year.
