For those players looking for a playing experience at a higher level of competition can sign up for the RCYBA traveling program. The traveling teams are based on tryouts and will be are formed by skill level.
Players that are assigned to a travel teams (A or B level), will NOT be participating in league. The only exception to this is the will be for 4th grade girls they will participate in the league program and then if there are enough girls wanting to continue to play RCYBA will for a Late Travel team that will start AFTER league.
Playing on a traveling team is not only a high level of competition; it is also a larger commitment for the player and parents. Players will be expected to attend ALL practices each week and travel 2-3 weekends a month between November and mid-March. Parents will need make to make sure they can get their players to and from practices and all tournaments (most tournaments are in the Minneapolis area). Parents should also be aware that there are additional costs during the season besides the cost of registration and uniforms such as; tournament gate fees for fans, meals and possibly hotel expenses. There is no financial assistance for the additional costs associated with the travel program.
If you are a boy in grades 4th - 6th or a girl in grades 5th & 6th and do not wish to travel please sign-up for the league program.

|Transportation:||Parents are responsible for getting their player to and from practices and to ALL tournaments. No transportation is provided by RCYBA.|
|Player Eligibility:||Must live in the Rochester 535 school district OR attend a school in the Rochester 535 district.|
|Teams:||1. Teams will be formed based on the results of tryouts.
2. Each grade level could have 2 teams an A team and B team.
3. Teams will be made up of 8 to 10 players based on skill-level
4.Players ARE NOT guaranteed to make a team.
5. If a player DOES not make a travel team they will be assigned to a league team and the difference in cost will be returned. If a player does not make a team and decided they do not want to be placed on a league team their registration fee will be refunded minus a $20 administration fee.
6. For those players that did not make a travel team there is an option for a "Late Travel Team". This travel team would start AFTER league.
Players are NOT allowed to play up a grade, unless approved by RCYBA. If found to be doing so, will result in an automatic expulsion from the program without refund.

To play-up the player MUST provide RCYBA with:
|Tryouts/Team formation:||Tryouts/team formation to be determined (at the high schools) and will be conducted by RCYBA and/or Century, JM and Mayo varsity high school girls and boys coaches|
|Uniform Ordering:||Players will order and pay for their own unifroms, online. It is the parents responsibility to order their players unifroms. There are not scholarships given for the cost of the uniform. The approximate cost for the uniform is $120 (jersey, short & shooting shirt). If your players purchased a uniform last season (2018-29) and it still fits you do not need to purchase a new one....only a shooting shirt. There will be an option to purchase just a new jersey or shorts.|
|Practices:||Each team will have at least 2 practices per week for up to 1.5 hours each. Practices will begin the week of TBD|
|Skills camp:||There will be no skills camp in 2020 due to facility restrictions caused by Corona -19 virus.|
|Number of Tournaments:||TBD tournaments per team, with at least 3 of those tournaments being one day tournaments|
|Coach Selection:||Coaches will be selected by RCYBA with possible input from respective high school coach|

Tournament schedules will be emailed to players by coaches along with being posted on their teams webpage. Most tournaments do not post their games schedules until 5-7 days prior to the tournament.
